      How To Use

      How to use

      1. Cleanse

Cleansing the wound from dirt and bacteria is an essential first step to enable optimal healing. To prevent wound infections, spray the Elastoplast Wound Spray from a distance of approximately 10 cm onto the entire wound area. Repeat if necessary, then gently dry the wound and surrounding skin area.

Important: A minor wound will soon stop bleeding. If it continues, apply more gauze pads, keep pressure on the wound and seek medical advice.

      2. Protect

Next, it’s important to protect the wound from external influences like dirt and bacteria to enable undisturbed healing. Cover your wound with a sterile wound dressing that best suits your needs. Observe your wound and change the plaster or dressing regularly unless you’ve been recommended to do otherwise by your doctor. You might find this wound dressing know-how article useful.

      3. Heal

Help your wound heal safely, quickly and with a lower risk of scarring. Apply Elastoplast Wound Healing Ointment regularly until your wound has healed completely. Carefully apply a thin film one to two times per day. Make sure the opening of the tube does not get in contact with your wound. Repeat regularly until the healing is completed. The Elastoplast Wound Healing Ointment can be used on open minor superficial wounds and at any stage of the healing process. If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster, dressing or compress.

        Disappointed
Bought a box of 18 Fabric Waterproof plasters for simple first aid use. I deliberately paid a little more to have a brand leader as other products don't stick well etc. The first time I used one I was very pleased with the actual product butcher was a major let down in being able to get the plaster out of it's hygienic package. Bearing in mind if you need a plaster yourself and no one is about then you may be doing this whilst not have fun use of both hands. So if you have no help it os even worse. Having finally managed to open the paper sachet (hard to separate it from the one it is joined to as well!) it was then difficult to extract the plaster from its own sleeve. Had exactly the same problem when needed again a few weeks later for my boy's knee when I had full mobility in both hands. Great product but disproportionally difficult to use.

        Opening the protective sleeve.
They are very difficult to open. Why don't you include some instructions or better still, make them user-friendly!!

        Not Sticky Enough!
Accidentally bought these instead of the Extra Flexible Fabric ones, needless to say the adhesion of these ones are so bad they come right off! I use the larger size for the back of my heels to protect from blisters in the summer, the Extra Flex ones stay on for days, but these ones were coming off after just a few steps?! I also find if I have one of the smaller size ones on a finger, it doesn't stick to itself very good and starts to peel off if it gets wet. They feel very cheap and flimsy in comparison to the Extra Flexible, will definitely pay more attention to which ones I'm buying in the future.
